BALTIMORE, MD April 28, 2020 — To show their gratitude for the men and women working on the front lines of the local healthcare system, Goetze’s Candy Company, Inc., donated caramel sweets to staffers at seven Maryland hospitals. The “Ounce of Joy” project was named for the donation of Cow Tales®, each weighing one ounce, to healthcare teams at GBMC, MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, University of Maryland Medical Center, MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, and Gilchrist.

The idea began when Rob Goss of Whitey’s Liquors was eating a handful of Goetze’s Caramel Creams® candy, and decided to text Kennith Praay, co-founder of Monument City Brewing, to throw out the idea of brewing a beer using the iconic candies.

A normal Cow Tale is approximately one ounce in size and seven inches in length. Cow Tales are a soft, chewy caramel wrapped around a decadent cream center.
BALTIMORE, MD (March 18, 2016) — Team Give & Goetze kicked off the 2016 race season at the Under Armour Kelly St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock 5k on Sunday March 13th, 2016. There were 13 runners who grabbed their green and joined team Give & Goetze to complete a 5k run through the streets of downtown Baltimore City. Team Give & Goetze completed 40.3 miles, raising over $200 for the Barth Syndrome Foundation.
