Fairs & 4-H
For more than a century, American fairs have been the heartbeat of community life, places where families gather, traditions are passed down, and the spirit of small‑town pride comes alive. From livestock barns to midway lights, fairgrounds are where generations meet to celebrate hard work, creativity, and the simple joys that define American culture.
At the center of that tradition is 4‑H. For millions of young people, 4‑H has been a rite of passage, teaching responsibility, craftsmanship, leadership, and the value of learning by doing. Whether raising animals, baking, crafting, or competing in local shows, 4‑H members carry forward the same values that built rural America: dedication, integrity, and pride in a job well done.
Goetze’s Candy is rooted in tradition, just like the fairgrounds and 4‑H. For more than 130 years, our caramel has been crafted with care, pride, and purpose. It reflects the same spirit found in a 4‑H member tending a project, a fairground volunteer returning year after year, and communities coming together to celebrate the traditions that make them proud. Goetze’s is proud to sponsor the Maryland State Fair and its 4‑H‑led U-Learn Barnyard Bedtime Stories event.
