How to Make Popcorn on the StoveIt's so easy to make popcorn on the stove! All you need is a large pot, some vegetable oil, and, well, popcorn kernels of course! Coat the bottom of the saucepan with vegetable oil, followed by the corn kernels. When the oil begins to sizzle, gently shake the saucepan to rotate the kernels and then cover with a lid.
Pop, Pop, Pop!Shake the saucepan about every 30 seconds until the popcorn begins to pop. As soon as the popping stops, remove the pot from the heat and pour the popcorn into a large bowl and set it aside.
Strawberry Cow Tales® PiecesOn a cutting board, chop 12, unwrapped, 1oz Strawberry Cow Tales® sticks into pieces about the size of a pea. Try to not eat them all. Maybe unwrap some extra Strawberry Cow Tales® for snacking. ;)
The Candy MixtureMelt butter in a medium saucepan. Stir in the sugar until it melts, followed by the light corn syrup.
Sweet Strawberry FlavorStir in the strawberry gelatin mix. It will smell delicious!
Candied Strawberry SauceBring the mixture to a boil over the lowest possible heat setting. Stirring frequently, allow the mixture to boil for 5 minutes.
The Messy PartRemove the sauce from the heat and pour half over the popcorn. Toss the popcorn, then add the remainder of the mixture, and toss the popcorn again.
Add Strawberry Cow Tales®Spread the popcorn on cookie sheet and sprinkle the Strawberry Cow Tales® bits on top.
The Ooey-Gooey PartIn a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the second stick of butter. Stir in the marshmallows until they melt.
Drizzle fo ShizzleDrizzle the marshmallow sauce across the popcorn and bake for 15 minutes. Remove and toss the popcorn. Do this another two times, for a total of 45 minutes in the oven. Remove the popcorn and let it cool for 10 minutes and toss again. The popcorn will stick together as it cools. Break apart any clumps and continue to toss, as needed, to prevent the candy coating from settling to the bottom of the pan. Serve when completely cool.
